AMV awards financial assistance scholarships to qualified, selected students who plan to pursue post-secondary education as an instate student in an Arizona education institute. Each student will be selected through an application process and review committee. The Board of Directors serves as a review committee as well as 3 community members.
AMV scholarship selection requires a student to demonstrate financial need, successful educational achievement to date of application and enrollment in a post-secondary school of learning. No minimum GPA is required to apply; however, if a student drops below the school’s minimum GPA for a scholastic term, the committee will reassess the student’s eligibility to continue to receive funding for the next term (special circumstances will be taken into account). AMV will require transcripts and a completed application from applicants.
Applicants are required to have 2 letters of recommendation from an employer, pastor or teacher and write an essay explaining the need for the scholarship and his/her educational and career goals for the future.
All undistributed donations and contributions in excess of expenses will be held for investment and ongoing scholarship awards, to ensure continued fund growth and financial support for students.
